the most boring morning in the world

i am still at school doing NOTHING!!!! 4 hours in front of the laptop is ok but when u have nothing to do!!! i want to post things but i can't because everything is blocked (like facebook-yes, i have facebook- or youtube). my english teacher is doing something but i cannot tell what it is!! it's weird - oh i actually think he's correcting a test. he looks funny! he never ever wears glasses but today he is! i like him. people think he's weird but i just think he's funny and nice. he loves english, you can tell that.
anyway, i hate this 'project week' because you end up doing nothing (or posting random stuff on your blog or translating a weird sentence for your neighbour) one sec.
we are actually struggling! I was right!! ha ha ha ha ha i LOVE english! the sentence was " have you always wanted to be a judge at the court of justice of the european union?" interesting huh!? not really.....
my neighbour is just saying "hi" but i don't know to whom... she can be more random than i am. sounds impossible but it is true!
after these boring 4 hours (my english is suffering) we are going to McDonalds (i'd rather go to Carl's jr or CAFE RIO or even TACO BELL - but we don't have that here- lame huh?!) and then -drumrolls- court of justice of the european union!
we aren't really looking forward to it but that's life --> i ALWAYS say that, that's the reason why i called my blog how i did! but i still think life is sweet ( when you don't count the lame moments).
my head teacher just came in! he's just amazingly funny!!! he makes fun of himself and he's just SO nice! i hope i will be able to post a picture of him

Hmm... something about me

Well i actually realized that i didn't really introduce myself, so i decided to post this and talk a little about who i am!
so i am joana and i live in luxembourg, a tiny country next to france, germany and belgium. i am portuguese though. my mom moved to luxembourg something like 20 years ago and even though i was born here i am still portuguese.
i am LDS as i mentionned in the little description. i have been a member for almost ten years now, so i am a convert. i was catholic before, which is normal for portuguese people. I served a mini-mission in july 2009! I served in metz,france, for 3 weeks. i really loved it!! i served with danalee bolingbroke, faith peterson and tiffiny monson! i actually had a blast, even though the work was hard and that (litteraly) NOBODY wanted to listen to us! nevertheless we had fun, making up raps, dressing up like Eve, trying to find out what was in elder nathan waldron's vague head and eating a lot of yummy cheese and icecream (and avoiding the creepiest girl in the whole world).
I left YW in november (because i still had to finish my PP) and i was called as a sunday school teacher for the youth. then i was called to serve as 1st counsellor in YW and last friday i got another calling: YSA representative! So basically i have two callings.
i love to cook and i love scrapbooking as well! i want to be a wedding planner in Utah (yes i definately chose the right place). i actually visited Utah 2 weeks ago and I loved it (pictures to come)! i visited BYU and i know that it is the place i have to go to. i think i am going to live in payson and then move to murray or something closer to SLC because i love the temple there. actually, now it's the temple i want to get married in (it used to be san diego,california)
i don't really want to serve a mission, but i guess i still have time to change my mind. but i don't really want to do it. i want to get married and have a family.
hmm.. i don't know what to say! this is pretty much what i wanted to say. i can't really say much about my personnality.. that would be weird, i guess... well yes i'll post some pictures. i don't know when, but i will!

BOM characters are amazing

on sunday liz, olivia and jessica came to my house and we played UNO and spoons and had some pizza. jess was the first at my house and i told her how this bird pooped on my scriptures (not IN but ON)and then she asked me if i had noticed how funny the BOM characters were.

the first thing she pointed out was how proud nephi was of his body. and it actually is true: "I, Nephi, being(...) being large in stature"



then we talked how it is said that captain moroni was just an amazing guy and the world would be so much better if everybody was like him but he always gets really mad: "Moroni was so angry with the dissension of Amalickiah (...)"



If u notice other characters like that just tell me!! i love analyzing weird stuff in the scriptures so just feel free to comment

scavenger hunt

so yesterday we had this really cool young adults activity, that Jessica organized. it was a scavenger hunt and we had to find "the armor of God". it was Olivia and me against Antonio and Benjamin. we all won because each team found the other teams sword. then we read the scriptures related to the different items we had to find. i really liked the scriptures that Jessica chose!! i don't have the "red" ones with me but i will post them later (and i will post the pictures later as well)!!
the elders came really late so we didn't actually go to Olivia's & Benjamin's when we wanted because we didn't want to "abandon" the late-coming elders. so we hid everything again and it was so funny because we were pushing them around because we had to get the bus and they had 5min to find everything!
they finally made it and then they started a "fight" and that little boy was amazed by them. you could really see that he was AMAZED!! " those big boys are wearing an armor and fighting in suits"... ha ha ha ha they actually did look funny!!
the best thing was that the bus schedule changed at 8 and we forgot about that, so we actually waited 10min for the bus to come! Jessica and i dressed up and took those really random pictures and people were giving us REALLY weird looks but it was just funny. "we know how to have fun"
we finally arrived at Olivia's & Benjamin's and we had a toast party while watching "F.R.I.E.N.D.S."
it was really cool! i had a blast, don't know what the others thought but i really had fun.

there was something else yesterday: i had my very first driving lesson. it felt so weird driving a car but it was amazing!! can't wait to have my pick-up truck =) i love pick-up trucks!! (not the HUGE one's)

1st random post

i think i'm totally bummed out sometimes... my computer just decided not to work anymore. I'm at school and i decided to post this.
well yes i'm looking forward to having it back. i hope i won't lose all my pictures and videos and stuff!
anyway tonight should be funny. we are having a young adults activty and i think we'll have a scavenger hunt or something like that. (pictures to come)
